About Us

Hey there!

My name is Joelle. I started Mad Cutter Designs towards the end of 2014. At the time as a stay at home mom, I was trying to find ways to save money for our new little family. Instead of purchasing gifts, I wanted to make my own personable gifts for friends and family. Now years later it has turned into making gifts for those all around the US.

I've always have had a creative side since child. I'm so thankful to be able to get to share my creations with other people while supporting our family. My husband Joey, worked a seasonal career as a carpenter bridge builder for almost 20 years. During his slow times this has been a huge support for our family. In 2022, he made his decision to quit due to an injury and to be able to be home more with the kids and I. We have two amazing kiddos. Our daughter Rylee shows her creativity in so many ways, we love watching her explore her different creative outlets. We look forward to see where it takes her as she grows. Our son Lane has severe autism and is non verbal. He has taught us that love needs no words, patience and understanding, and so much more! Having Joey home we have created such a team in our home life. From homeschooling, business, and lots of adventuring.

In 2025, we are thrilled to announce that Mad Cutter is evolving! As we continue to grow, we’re combining our passion for laser-engraved items, gifts, apparel, decals, home decor, and more with our love for the outdoors, autism awareness, and storytelling through blogs and vlogs (Left Lane Adventures).

Our new name—Odin’s Compass—is inspired by our beloved dog, Odin, who recently passed away. His adventurous spirit and loyalty to our journey are the heart of this rebrand. “Compass” represents the direction we are heading, guiding our travels and the experiences we want to share with you.
